Enquiries and confirmation
Enquire using shamilah.titus01@gmail.com or 078 226 6744. Availability should be checked before a quote is accepted. An enquiry alone does not reserve a date; written confirmation should specify the service, date, price and any agreed payment requirement.
Any deposit or date-holding arrangement must be disclosed before acceptance. This policy does not set a deposit percentage or suggest that deposits are automatically non-refundable.
Cancelling a booking
Proposed approach: notify the business in writing as soon as you need to cancel, identifying the booking and date. There is no assumed minimum notice period in this policy. Milah Muse & Co. should acknowledge the request and explain any proposed charge and the balance to be refunded.
Where CPA section 17 applies to an advance reservation or booking, any cancellation charge must be reasonable in the circumstances. Relevant considerations include the nature of the service, notice given, reasonable prospects of finding another client and general industry practice. Payments cannot simply be forfeited as a penalty regardless of loss or circumstances.
Where that section applies, no cancellation fee may be imposed if the booking cannot be honoured because of the death or hospitalisation of the person for whom, or for whose benefit, it was made. Only information reasonably necessary to assess the request should be sought. Other statutory cancellation or cooling-off rights remain available where applicable.
Rescheduling
Proposed approach: request a new date in writing. Rescheduling depends on availability and agreement, not an automatic entitlement to a particular date. Where practical, the parties should consider transferring payments to the replacement booking.
Any unavoidable additional cost should be explained and agreed before the change is accepted. No automatic rescheduling fee is established here. If a suitable replacement date cannot be agreed, assess cancellation and refund fairly under the agreement and applicable law.
If the business cannot deliver
The business should inform you promptly if it cannot provide an agreed service and discuss a replacement arrangement, rescheduling or a refund for services not supplied, as appropriate. A substitute photographer or creator should not be imposed without your agreement.
Illness or events beyond reasonable control should be assessed individually. They do not automatically remove consumer remedies or justify keeping payment for undelivered services.
Owner review
Before accepting bookings under this policy, the owner should confirm date-holding rules, any deposit, the method for estimating reasonable cancellation costs, rescheduling arrangements and how cancellations are acknowledged. These provisional principles should not be replaced by blanket non-refundable or no-cancellation clauses.
